So I’m happy to say Duke had a great first christmas. He was so excited in the morning to find out that Santa left not only his sisters’ gifts, but some for him as well. Never seen such an excited dog. Spent the entire morning shredding his stocking, and helping his sisters open their […]
This is a video of Duke having his little food fit, which I kind of did agrivate alittle but did cut shorter than usual too. This is what he does every morning at 6 am on the dot and then about 40 minutes later at almost 7 am. Mind you the 6 am one is […]
Sorry we haven’t been on in awhile. With family coming in, getting ready for the holidays, and my emergency surgery last week, don’t even seem to get the chance. But here is the update. He is getting around amazing, even better than before. Energy has almost doubled in him. It’s like a whole new […]
Well we had alittle bit of setbacks last few days. The fluid grew to a pretty large amount. Luckily it went down alittle and the Doc said it should reabsorb back into the body in a few weeks. Then yesterday decided he wasn’t going to eat and started throwing up at night. Vet said it’s from the erichlea( […]
I’m very happy to post that he is perfectly healed and back to normal. Actually he’s better than before. His skin and coat are healthier, he’s gained about 10-12 pounds now, also just seems to be happier. We had no idea how sick that little nub was making him. No more screaming spells either. Stitches […]
Well here’s the update. Sorry been super busy with school, Duke, kids, and oh dear gosh holidays. The vet said most likely phantom pain, but did not recommend any more medication. he said to deal with it with comforting and massaging. We’ll see how that works. also to make him take more rest breaks. […]
We’re on day 6 now, going on seven. He was doing ok until last night. He just kept having episodes of loud spontaneous yelping. So he’s got an appt. in the morning to check on everything. Today his meds were lowered which had him acting alittle better. Good enough that he decided to snoop in […]
Well today was alot better. He didn’t seem to be in as much pain, still had some crazy side effects but was pretty much our Duke again. He seems to really not even notice that his little nub is gone. Which means alot to me.
Woke up this morning to a blanket of snow. Crazy Texas weather. Usually I would be thrilled but I was terriefied. So worried it would throw his balance off or that he’d be out slippin n sliding. Nope, not Duke. I’m starting to wonder if he’s not part superdog LOL. Seems he can do anything […]
