Duke update

November 21st 2010 in Uncategorized

Well here’s the update. Sorry been super busy with school, Duke, kids, and oh dear gosh holidays. The vet said most likely phantom pain, but did not recommend any more medication. he said to deal with it with comforting and massaging. We’ll see how that works. also to make him take more rest breaks. Go in tues to hopefully get stitches out. yeash!!!!

Comforting and massaging and resting sounds perfect.

I’d like a prescription for that from my own doctor. 🙂

Life always picks up speed at this time of year, doesn’t it? Thanks for the update!

Comforting and massage? Give me the Gabapentin anyday.

If Duke’s pain doesn’t go away, insist on it. Phantom pain is real and often poo-pooed by old school veterinarians. Most dogs feel great after taking it, and their pain eventually dissipates but a lot faster.

MORE REST BREAKS!!! once again, the value of medicinal napping is supported by the veterinary community!!!
